Trauma can be physical (e.g. fall, disease) or emotional (e.g. loss of kin, psychological abuse) but whilst there are two types of trauma they affect both physical and mental well-being. This is why Noah Karrasch (Author of ‘Meet the body’) calls it BODYMINDCORE trauma. If we take a fall onto our hip we naturally protect it (MIND) by hitching up the hip (BODY) to prevent further harm, starting the holding patterns (CORE) vice versa with Emotional traum naturally protect the traumatised area by curling up!! ever get the feeling you want to curl up into a ball, its our bodies physical reaction to protect us from what may cause us emotional harm. It is CORE Fascial Release intension to allow these traumas to be ‘realised’ so that conscious physical and psychological changes can start to occur.
